Deepwater Horizon Project Traker

Overview

In April 2010 started what will be considered one of the largest environmental disasters in American history, the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.  The total discharge is estimated to be 4.9 million barrels (210 million US gal; 780,000 m3) and it affected 2,500 to 68,000 sq mi (6,500 to 176,100 km2).

The Deep Water Horison Project Traker website needed a redesign to help better track the restoration, research, and recovery projects for the affected areas.
